Looking for Children’s Health Insurance?

Why is Health Insurance Important?

Improve Access to Health Care

  • Children have a medical home – The proportion of children having a medical and dental visit after one year of health insurance enrollment increased dramatically – from 33% to over 90%.
  • The increase in medical visits meant fewer days missed from school. Nearly 70% of students did not miss one day due to illness, up from 52%. Fewer than 10% missed three days or more.
  • Health coverage means healthier students in our schools.

Prevent Hospitalization While Meeting the Needs of Children

  • We see noticeable decreases in preventable hospitalizations and emergency room visits. When kids have access to coverage, we can promote public health.
  • Emergency room visits shrunk to just 4% in 10 months.

Reduce Family Stress - Verified Through Cutting-Edge Survey Methodology

  • Parents reported their child got the care they needed from a doctor and dentist in huge numbers.
  • Parents who thought their child’s health was excellent/very good rose dramatically.
